datamena and Türk Telekom International sign partnership agreement at Capacity Middle East

 

Dubai, UAE, 3 March 2014: datamena, the carrier neutral data centre and connectivity platform based in the UAE and serving the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, signed an agreement with Türk Telekom International (TTI) during Capacity ME to establish a Point of Presence (PoP) that will expand the company’s reach into the Middle East and beyond. datamena is a Diamond Sponsor of Capacity ME. 

 

The partnership agreement was signed between on 2 March between Hany Ali – Executive vice President of Enterprise Marketing in du, and Cengiz Oztelcan, CEO of Türk Telekom International.

Named best Central and Eastern European Wholesale Carrier at the Global Carrier Awards 2013, TTI will particularly expand the connectivity options to Turkey, Eastern and Central Europe. TTI will also bring Gulfstream AMEER, a new alternative route between the Middle East and Europe, into datamena, where it can connect further to other cables such as MEETS.” said Mahesh Jaishankar, Vice President – datamena. “Our state of the art facilities host a multitude of regional and international entities, providing better connectivity to the MEA region.”

Türk Telekom International joins the rapidly growing ecosystem of more than 40 customers interconnecting through datamena’s neutral platform in the UAE, provided in alliance with Equinix.
